Villa Nilaya is a laidback luxury 3-bedroom oceanfront home with a private infinity pool and yoga deck overlooking the Andean Sea on the quiet east coast of Bali. Owned by an Australian artist and often booked for wellness retreats, Villa Nilaya is adorned with inspiring décor thoughtfully-curated over years of the owner's worldly travels - including a floating double bed swing from Rajasthan, India.
The warm slowness of Karangasem and the artistic essence of Villa Nilaya stood out to me as two prominent energies of this property, so for this project I wanted to bring out the natural elements of both the interior design and the villa's seaside landscape, as well as a little bit of thickness to represent the balmy Bali heat.
